Tuffak^® LUMEN XT Sheet is a translucent polycarbonate product with a textured surface on one side specifically designed for lighting lenses. It features a unique combination of high light diffusion and high light transmission through a combination of optimized surface texture and advanced diffuser technologies.

When compared to other light diffusing products such as glass and acrylic, Tuffak^® Lumen XT Sheet has superior impact strength and toughness. Its higher flammability resistance and wider service temperature range provide an additional performance advantage over acrylic diffusers.

The wide range of standard diffusion levels as well as both a warm (LW) or a cool (LC) hue offers designers the flexibility to maximize light fixtures’ aesthetics and performance. Other surface textures are available for additional design options.

Tufflak® SL Prolonged exposure to the sun can weather even the most durable of surfaces. In the past, acrylic was often chosen for plastic glazing applications because of its inherent resistance to yellowing over time. But compared to polycarbonate, the relative brittleness of acrylic made its impact strength insufficient for demanding, vandal resistant applications. Tufflak SL offers the best of both worlds– the impact protection of Tufflak® polycarbonate sheet and the UV resistance of acrylic. Utilizing advanced formulations combined with state-of-the-art extrusion technology, Plaskolite has created a tough, consistent quality product that will exhibit superior performance for years to come.

Performance Warranty: The performance of Tufflak® SL polycarbonate sheet has been well documented through years of laboratory and field testing. In side-by- SunLife Polycarbonate Sheet Light Diffusing Tufflak® LD Sheet is a highly UV stable polycarbonate product designed to provide superior light diffusion characteristics while maintaining high light transmission. The proprietary diffuser technology eliminates visible hot spots from pinpoint LED lights in typical flat and formed sign applications. The sheet is easy to form, fabricate and decorate and has excellent impact strength and dimensional stability. Tufflak® LD is offered with a ten (10) year limited product warranty against breakage.The terms of the warranty, are available upon request. Light Diffusing Sheet side comparative testing under severe conditions, Tufflak® SL polycarbonate sheet consistently outperformed competitive materials utilizing older technology. Materials were also tested in forms and bends well beyond recommended guidelines, proving that the integrity of SL, as well as its UV resistance, will not change if the sheet is bent or cold-formed. So conclusive was this testing that Plaskolite offers a limited warranty against excessive yellowing, loss of light transmission, and breakage.

Tufflak® Frit Polycarbonate is a hard coated polycarbonate product that includes a customizable, printed perimeter to allow for innovative installation methods, eliminating the common threaded hardware, clips and glazing channels. The material can be configured to provide a direct replacement for fritted glass. State of-the-art manufacturing and inspection processes deliver low optical distortion.

The advanced hard coat technology offers excellent abrasion and chemical resistance, and long lasting outdoor weathering performance. In addition, the printed frit provides a bondable surface for the life of the product. Tufflak® FP is available in clear, standard, and custom tints in tandem with tailored frit.

Tufflak® VR sheet is a polycarbonate product designed for high optical quality and exceptional durability. Proprietary UV technology ensures long lasting outdoor weathering performance. State-of- the-art manufacturing processes provide low optical distortion for clear views and unparalleled sight lines.Tufflak® VR can be easily cut and sewn, offering a high clarity, wrinkle-free alternative to flexible vinyl. The product can be rolled, making it ideal for applications with limited storage. Tufflak® VR is offered with a five (5) year Limited Product Warranty against breakage. Tufflak® DX-NR is a translucent polycarbonate product specifically designed for use as a lighting lens in outdoor applications. The advanced UV resistance technology provides long lasting weathering performance and the non-reflective texture built into the UV resistant side of the sheet, enhances its aesthetics. When compared to other light diffusing products such as glass and acrylic, Makrolon DX-NR has superior impact strength and toughness. Its higher flammability resistance and wider service temperature provide an additional advantage over acrylic diffusers.

Tufflak® 15 Polycarbonate Sheet offers long-term weatherability and
is backed by a 15 year performance warranty.

Tufflak® WG Polycarbonate Engineering Plate offers extremely high impact strength, high modulus of elasticity, outstanding dimensional stability and good mechanical and electrical properties. Tufflak WG demonstrates low levels of black specks or other impurities.

Applications: Sight windows for tanks/vessels, viewport windows, medical parts and military applications.

Machine Grade Tufflak® MG Polycarbonate engineering plate is an amorphous thermoplastic sheet. It offers extremely high impact strength, high modulus of elasticity, outstanding dimensional stability and good mechanical and electrical properties.

Applications: Manifolds, insulators, diaphragms, electrical, semiconductor and military.

FDA/Tufflak® FD Sheet is a clear non-UV stabilized polycarbonate sheet which complies with FDA and NSF standard 51 requirements. Close gauge tolerance control combined with high impact strength and heat resistance make Tufflak® FD sheet ideally suited for demanding applications in medical equipment as well as food processing environments. Tufflak® FD has a five (5) year warranty against breakage.The terms of the warranty against breakage are set forth in the warranty, which is available upon request.

Applications: Food processing equipment guards, bulk food bins, candy molds, sneeze guards, single use autoclave packaging, hospital trays, bassinets, incubators and medical device storage containers.

Ultra Clear/Tufflak® UC is a polycarbonate product characterized by high visible light transmission in comparison to other polycarbonate products. This product is suitable for lamination with glass using conventional lamination techniques. Tufflak UC should not be used in applications where UV stability is required.

Abrasion Resistant High Transmission Tufflak® AU is a hard coated polycarbonate product with high visible light transmission in comparison to other polycarbonate products. This product is suitable for lamination with glass using conventional lamination techniques.

Tufflak® OP Sheet is a clear polished surface, transparent, UV stabilized, polycarbonate product. It features outstanding impact strength, and superior dimensional stability. Tufflak OP Sheet has a five (5) year warranty against breakage. The terms of the warranty against breakage are set forth in the warranty, which is available upon request.

Flame Inhibiting/Tufflak® FI Polycarbonate Sheet is a unique flame-inhibiting product, that maintains a high level of clarity and light transmission.Tufflak FI polycarbonate sheet has a UL 94 V-0 rating at .060” and a UL 94 5VA test criteria at .125”.

Applications: Transparent interior aircraft components, switchgear covers, electrical devices, thermoformed equipment housings, and other current-carrying components.

Low Flammability/Tufflak LF Sheet is flame-inhibiting and UV stabilized. It is rated UL 94 V-0 at .080” thickness and meets the requirements of FAR 25.853 paragraphs A & B.
