What Does “Less Saw Cut” Mean?Pin It“Less saw cut” is a term used by plastic fabricators to describe a method of measuring and cutting material in order to (1) minimize waste and (2) reduce costs.  The rule of thumb is simple:  the more pieces that can be cut from a single sheet of plastic, the lower the total cost is to the customer. “Less saw cut” means cutting the customer’s material to the specified dimensions less the width of the saw blade (or kerf).  This is possible  when the final dimensions of custom-cut pieces can tolerate a little variation.   Here is how it works:
